International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, to help accelerate action.

We are incredibly proud to be a business with true gender equity and such an incredible bunch of talented and smart women, especially in a very male dominated industry where women aren’t as visible as they deserve to be.

Mardi Gras is here, and we’re celebrating love, identity, joy, and the vibrancy of our creative community.

Following a super fun offsite Team Building Day at Bustle Studios, the vibes were high as our team descended on Lil Darlin bar. An excellent way to cap off a day of learning and bonding.

Printed in Melbourne, the quarterly, indie, Jimmy Hornet Magazine features a mash-up of music, art, design, mindset musings, pop culture shenanigans, and creative genius.

The Motion Design Awards is a daily award platform to recognising hard work, talent & innovation, with both a jury and a public voting system.

We were very proud to be awarded 'Video of the Day' on Feb 12, followed by 'Video of the Month' for February, 2025.

This year was possibly our best Christmas party yet.

On a perfect summer's day, we sailed around Sydney harbour, followed by a pub dinner in The Rocks. The vibes were well and truly alive, and we had a surpise appearance from The Black Ties for a mindblowing magic show that left the team speechless.

Huge congratulations to the incredible Howe Tom, for winning the 'Best Comedy' AND 'Best Ident' for the 2024 Node Ident competition.

A special mention to Max Cao, for submitting an awesome entry. The commitment to Max and Howe's craft to create these idents in their own time is truly commendable.

Node Fest is Australia’s leading motion design event, held annually in Melbourne.

We were invited to create the opening titles for 2024, and we couldn't be prouder of the result. The applause from the audience was testament that we'd kicked off the conference with a bang, and set the tone for the day to come.

The Motion Awards, hosted by Motionographer, is regarded as one of the most important award shows for our industry.

As a highly competitive and global award show, we were thrilled to have two nominations. Our Anti-Showreel in the 'Commercial Infographics' category, and our Mirror Mirror title sequence in the 'Documentary Title Sequence' category.

With 11 finalists for the 2024 AGDA Awards, we were thrilled to take home a Judges Choice Award. This accolade means one of the judges selected our Hyoketsu project as their favourite entry of the entire awards show.

The Awards Ceremony took place at the NGV Melbourne on November 14.

For the UTS VisCom 3rd Year Grad Show, we were invited to judge the 'motion' category. Shoutout to our very own Ben Walker and Supriya Bhonsle for awarding the Never Sit Still Motion prize.

Congratulations to the MESH 2024 motion winners: Martin Tran, Alonzo Theja, Sabrina Zhou and Filippa Jennings.

We're excited to welcome Renee Connellan to the team as our Director of Business Operations.

Never Sit Still has grown significantly over the last eight years, and is now at the size where Renee's business expertise will help the studio continue to evolve and thrive.

It's always great to see our team members giving guest lectures at design schools. Sharing their experience is invaluable to students who are preparing to enter our industry.

We got into the spirit of Halloween and celebrated with fancy dress. Great to see the whole team get amongst it and putting a huge effort into their costumes.

The best dressed prize went to Jolie Zhang who showed up as an incredibly accurate Edward Scissorhands.

James Vallance, aka Mr Seaks, was on a panel about the state of AI in design for an event hosted by The Design Institute of Australia and Torrens University.

Our Creative Director, Zoe Crocker, spoke on the theme “Vision” at Creative Mornings.

She dissected the topic like never before, making us think about Vision in a completely new way. We learned about Fantasia and Aphantasia through an immersive and poignant story about her grandfather. An amazing talk.

For this year's Australasian Effects & Animation Festival, Never Sit Still are thrilled to take home a Bronze Award for our Mirror Mirror in the 'Titles/Openers - TV' category.

Beyond our winning project, we also had five finalists across a variety of categories.

The Best Design Awards is New Zealand's annual showcase of excellence in graphic, spatial, product, digital, and motion design.

The NZ scene may be small, but the quality of work is up there with the most impressive in the world. Even being a finalist is an accolade, so we're proud that our Anti-Showreel has been selected.

Aligned with our Reconciliation Action Plan, we've been working with Western Sydney University (WSU), to develop a bespoke internship program at Never Sit Still for emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to gain experience in our industry.

Tim Jones is an incredibly talented Sydney based photographer. His multi-disciplinary practice collaborates with agencies and individuals here in Australia and across the world.

Tim was keen to test out some new equipment, and fortunately we were the guinea pigs. The result is a collaboration between Never Sit Still and Tim Jones Photography, capturing a day in life of our studio.

Happy Lunar New Year! Many of our team members celebrate Lunar New Year, so this year our studio took part in the festivities with a yum cha feast.

2024 is the Year of the Dragon, signifying strength, confidence and courage. May you eat lots of delicious food with loved ones and welcome a lucky new year together.

We made our annual pilgrimage south for Australia's dedicated motion conference in Melbourne, TheNode.

With two jam packed days of inspiration and insight from a variety of talks, it was fantastic to have our very own Supriya Bhonsle feature as one of the keynote speakers.

We're thrilled to have 13 of our 14 entries recognised as finalists in the 2023 AGDA Design Awards.

The Voice will give Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples a seat at the table to help inform policy and legal decisions that impact their lives.

Mulanne Phan attended the Enmore Design Centre to talk to students about their journey from university student, design intern to current role, sharing stories and learnings. They delved into the experience of an unpaid internship, developing and reworking a portfolio/CV and fumbling through interviews. Through a retrospective lens, students gleaned tips to survive the job hunting process after graduation.

During the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™, we were engaged by EssenceMediacom and adidas to create oversized building wraps for a breakthrough activation in Sydney’s CBD, dominating the city scape, and shining a light on women’s football.

Gruen is a satirical Australian TV show about advertising, which has been running on the ABC since 2008.

The Pitch is one of the show's most popular segments, where two agencies compete to sell the unsellable.

As part of our ongoing commitment to our Reconciliation Action Plan, Never Sit Still recognises and supports NAIDOC week, by attending events and creating awereness within our sphere of influence.

To align with the studio's recent growth, our creative leadership team has been restructured to allow Never Sit Still to continue to thrive. Both from a business perspective, but equally from a people perspective in regards to culture and talent.

Zoe Crocker is our Creative Director. Ben Walker and Supriya Bhonsle are Creative Leads. Bruno Borio is our 3D Lead, and Melany Webster has been elevated to a Senior role.

Inspired by the move to our new studio, we made our own exquisite corpse to celebrate the momentous occasion.

This was an awesome opportunity for our team to collaborate on a fun project, and demonstrate the breadth of talent at Never Sit Still.

At The Design Conference 2023, our Director, Mike Tosetto, and former intern, now team member, Isabelle Trudgian, joined Never Not Creative for a fireside discussion about internships.

They discussed the importance of a structured approach to learning, getting paid fairly, and what it means to support the future generations of our industry.

DoingCoolStuff is a collection of brand and digital product studios curated by Jamie Samman and various other peeps.

We're chuffed to be among great company as one of the motion studios on the website.

In March 2023, Senior Designer and UTS alumnus Ben Walker spoke to the latest batch of VisComm students as part of Never Sit Still’s growing partnership with UTS.

As a majority of our designers graduated from this same degree, Ben shared insights on how he was able to marry his early design studies with the growing world of motion, as well as his journey over the last ten years.

We're extremely proud of our diverse and multicultural team, so we celebrated Harmony Day with a lunchtime feast to enjoy culinary delights from cultures around the world.

Our whole team participated, bringing in a variety of mains and desserts. The food was amazing, and the company was even better.

We proudly celebrated the incredible women on our team for International Women’s Day 2023.

Our company of 16 staff wouldn’t be the same without the 9 amazing and very talented women at Never Sit Still. We strive to create an inclusive workplace that supports equality and encourages more women to enter the motion industry.

Zoe's talk covers her experience working as a motion designer. It addresses the difficulties she's faced managing a chronic illness (endometriosis) and trying to keep up with a fast paced industry; one that commonly requires lots of overtime and creative energy.

We attended the second Sydney based Masters of Motion industry event. These networking events organised by Matthew Packwood offer an ideal opportunity to catch up after work with our peers and pals.

To top off an enjoyable evening, our very own Melany Webster won a Wacom tablet.

We had a cracking party in our studio for Halloween this year. The team turned it on with awesome costumes and an afternoon of ghoulish games. A great opportunity to let our hair down after a slew of big projects.

We worked with US tech company Kandji to develop assets for a campaign across the US, UK and Europe. A hero spot was accompanied by a set of high quality 3D renders to be used across digital and OOH platforms.

We've enjoyed seeing the images being used across a wide range of applications. From huge billboards in San Francisco, to tram wraps in San Diego, airports in NYC and trade shows in Las Vegas.

We created a trailer to help advertise the new Sharks exhibition at the Australian Museum, bringing the promotional material to life in motion.

Never Sit Still has moved into a new home. We've taken the top floor of an iconic building right in the heart of Surry Hills, opposite the much loved craft beer pub, the Royal Albert Hotel.

Our new studio is nearly four times the size of our old space, offering plenty of room for our growing team. We look forward to welcoming you sometime soon.

The Best Design Awards are Australasia’s largest annual showcase of excellence across the creative industries.

Our team are proud to have 3 finalists in the Motion category this year, with projects we've done for Adobe, Oculus and Kandji, all being recognised by the 2022 jury.

The finalists have been announced for the Australiasian Effects & Animation Festival for 2022.

We're stoked to have 7 finalists, with our work for Adobe, Oculus, Coinbase, Culture Amp, Mirror Mirror, Murrook, and Shaype, being recognised at this year's awards.

Our team never needs an excuse to enjoy each other's company, so this year we celebrated Christmas in July at Never Sit Still.

We all got together in the studio wearing the ugliest Christmas sweaters we could find (or make), while we played Bad Santa and chowed down on delicious Surly's BBQ & Brisket Boxes.

Our Director Mike Tosetto and Senior Animator Zoe Crocker, have been invited to speak at this year’s The Design Conference, Brisbane’s annual event for creatives.

On the first day of the conference, Thursday June 9 2022, Mike and Zoe will give two presentations. A Keynote Talk about Never Sit Still’s culture and creativity, which will be followed by a Process Showcase, where they’ll deep dive into the process behind the Splash Screen for the latest version of Adobe After Effects.

Our entire studio recently attended TheNode, Australia's dedicated motion conference that takes place annually in Melbourne.

This was a great excuse to close the studio, fly interstate with the team, and make the most of two very inspiring days followed by an after pary at on the banks of the Yarra.

Node Ident 2021 winner! Never Sit Still's James Vallance.

The Node is Australia's leading and dedicated national motion design conference, and hosts a themed ident competition every year.

This year's theme was 'Sense' and we are thrilled that James won Best Ident!

The splash screens of Adobe's Creative Cloud software are seen by users every single time they launch a program. So when Adobe commissioned us to create the splash screen for the new version of After Effects, we jumped at the opportunity.

We feel privileged to have contributed to this release of Creative Cloud, showcasing our creative skills using Adobe's creative tools.

Our Founder and Director, Mike Tosetto, will be running a Masterclass on Freelancer Tips at The Node this year. Over the last ten years, Mike freelanced at many studios before starting his own practice in 2015, which has since grown to a size of 11 full time team members.

This event is Australia’s leading and dedicated national motion design conference, and will be held in Melbourne, February 2022.

We're incredibly proud to have picked up the inaugural Orb Award at The Design Conference in Brisbane for Best Small Agency.

This award is different from others because it's about much more than creative output. This award recognises culture, D&I, gender equality, business strategy, work hours, staff salaries, even financials.

All these factors combined, along with our awesome team of ten, is what makes Never Sit Still a successful studio, and it's rewarding to be acknowledged for more than our work.

The AICP Post Awards honor the best post production work of the year, and they take place across rotating locations between Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

Awarded artists are recognised for their contribution in specific crafts within the overall categories of editorial, audio mixing, sound design, color grading, graphic design, visual effects and finishing.

This year our Director, Mike Tosetto, was invited to be a judge for the Type Design & Title Animation category.

Never Sit Still were invited to run a motion program for third year students, as part of the highly regarded Visual Communications degree at UTS.

Zoe Crocker and Melany Webster ran a six week course, based on an industry brief for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, teaching students about the importance of motion design for brand, along with conceptual skills to help them develop in this ever growing field. 

Zoe Crocker from Never Sit Still is one of three speakers at AGDA's webinar, Starting Out and Standing Out. The speakers at this event are all last year’s finalists for the Emerging Designer of the Year Award.

Zoe joined us in 2018, following graduation from her UTS Vis Comm degree. With her impressive illustration, design and animation skills, we’re stoked to call her our own.

We're overwhelmed with the results of this year’s AGDA Design Awards. We picked up our very first Pinnacle, the highest accolade a jury can bestow on a piece of work.

From our seven finalists, we also took home two Distinctions, which is a huge accomplishment that we’re incredibly proud of.

She shares her process, colouring and texturing techniques before bringing an illustration of hers to life with simple animations using Photoshop and After Effects.

Never Sit Still were proud to be involved with Adobe’s APAC conference for the third year running. Previously called Make It, this year Symposium combined both Creative and Digital Experiences audiences for the very first time.

Once again, we worked on the opening titles to kick start the day. And our Director, Mike Tosetto, was invited to speak on 2 different stages across the 2 day event.

Motion has become a core element of progressive brands, where static identities are no longer enough in the digital age. Our Director, Mike Tosetto, is taking his motion workshop around Australia with AGDA.

The workshops take place in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne between April and June 2018.
