National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.
Running from May 27 to June 3, the theme for NRW 2024 is Now More Then Ever.
Aligned with our Reconciliation Action Plan, we've been working with Western Sydney University (WSU), to develop a bespoke internship program at Never Sit Still for emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to gain experience in our industry.

Tim Jones is an incredibly talented Sydney based photographer. His multi-disciplinary practice collaborates with agencies and individuals here in Australia and across the world.
Tim was keen to test out some new equipment, and fortunately we were the guinea pigs. The result is a collaboration between Never Sit Still and Tim Jones Photography, capturing a day in life of our studio.

Mulanne Phan attended the Enmore Design Centre to talk to students about their journey from university student, design intern to current role, sharing stories and learnings. They delved into the experience of an unpaid internship, developing and reworking a portfolio/CV and fumbling through interviews. Through a retrospective lens, students gleaned tips to survive the job hunting process after graduation.

As part of our ongoing commitment to our Reconciliation Action Plan, Never Sit Still recognises and supports NAIDOC week, by attending events and creating awereness within our sphere of influence.
To align with the studio's recent growth, our creative leadership team has been restructured to allow Never Sit Still to continue to thrive. Both from a business perspective, but equally from a people perspective in regards to culture and talent.
Zoe Crocker is our Creative Director. Ben Walker and Supriya Bhonsle are Creative Leads. Bruno Borio is our 3D Lead, and Melany Webster has been elevated to a Senior role.
Inspired by the move to our new studio, we made our own exquisite corpse to celebrate the momentous occasion.

In March 2023, Senior Designer and UTS alumnus Ben Walker spoke to the latest batch of VisComm students as part of Never Sit Still’s growing partnership with UTS.
As a majority of our designers graduated from this same degree, Ben shared insights on how he was able to marry his early design studies with the growing world of motion, as well as his journey over the last ten years.
We're extremely proud of our diverse and multicultural team, so we celebrated Harmony Day with a lunchtime feast to enjoy culinary delights from cultures around the world.
Our whole team participated, bringing in a variety of mains and desserts. The food was amazing, and the company was even better.

Our company of 16 staff wouldn’t be the same without the 9 amazing and very talented women at Never Sit Still. We strive to create an inclusive workplace that supports equality and encourages more women to enter the motion industry.
Zoe's talk covers her experience working as a motion designer. It addresses the difficulties she's faced managing a chronic illness (endometriosis) and trying to keep up with a fast paced industry; one that commonly requires lots of overtime and creative energy.

Never Sit Still has been running for over six years, although we’ve only recently taken on our first intern. Up until now, we haven’t had the space, the time, or the resources to give justice to an internship program.

We attended the second Sydney based Masters of Motion industry event. These networking events organised by Matthew Packwood offer an ideal opportunity to catch up after work with our peers and pals.
To top off an enjoyable evening, our very own Melany Webster won a Wacom tablet.
We had a cracking party in our studio for Halloween this year. The team turned it on with awesome costumes and an afternoon of ghoulish games. A great opportunity to let our hair down after a slew of big projects.
We worked with US tech company Kandji to develop assets for a campaign across the US, UK and Europe. A hero spot was accompanied by a set of high quality 3D renders to be used across digital and OOH platforms.
We've enjoyed seeing the images being used across a wide range of applications. From huge billboards in San Francisco, to tram wraps in San Diego, airports in NYC and trade shows in Las Vegas.
We created a trailer to help advertise the new Sharks exhibition at the Australian Museum, bringing the promotional material to life in motion.

Never Sit Still has moved into a new home. We've taken the top floor of an iconic building right in the heart of Surry Hills, opposite the much loved craft beer pub, the Royal Albert Hotel.
Our new studio is nearly four times the size of our old space, offering plenty of room for our growing team. We look forward to welcoming you sometime soon.
The Best Design Awards are Australasia’s largest annual showcase of excellence across the creative industries.
Our team are proud to have 3 finalists in the Motion category this year, with projects we've done for Adobe, Oculus and Kandji, all being recognised by the 2022 jury.
The finalists have been announced for the Australiasian Effects & Animation Festival for 2022.
We're stoked to have 7 finalists, with our work for Adobe, Oculus, Coinbase, Culture Amp, Mirror Mirror, Murrook, and Shaype, being recognised at this year's awards.
Our team never needs an excuse to enjoy each other's company, so this year we celebrated Christmas in July at Never Sit Still.
We all got together in the studio wearing the ugliest Christmas sweaters we could find (or make), while we played Bad Santa and chowed down on delicious Surly's BBQ & Brisket Boxes.
Our Director Mike Tosetto and Senior Animator Zoe Crocker, have been invited to speak at this year’s The Design Conference, Brisbane’s annual event for creatives.
On the first day of the conference, Thursday June 9 2022, Mike and Zoe will give two presentations. A Keynote Talk about Never Sit Still’s culture and creativity, which will be followed by a Process Showcase, where they’ll deep dive into the process behind the Splash Screen for the latest version of Adobe After Effects.
Our entire studio recently attended TheNode, Australia's dedicated motion conference that takes place annually in Melbourne.
This was a great excuse to close the studio, fly interstate with the team, and make the most of two very inspiring days followed by an after pary at on the banks of the Yarra.

Node Ident 2021 winner! Never Sit Still's James Vallance.
The Node is Australia's leading and dedicated national motion design conference, and hosts a themed ident competition every year.
This year's theme was 'Sense' and we are thrilled that James won Best Ident!
Maiden work collaboratively with architects, designers and nice people, so we were chuffed that they chose to work with Never Sit Still on a recent project for our studio.

The splash screens of Adobe's Creative Cloud software are seen by users every single time they launch a program. So when Adobe commissioned us to create the splash screen for the new version of After Effects, we jumped at the opportunity.
We feel privileged to have contributed to this release of Creative Cloud, showcasing our creative skills using Adobe's creative tools.

Our Founder and Director, Mike Tosetto, will be running a Masterclass on Freelancer Tips at The Node this year. Over the last ten years, Mike freelanced at many studios before starting his own practice in 2015, which has since grown to a size of 11 full time team members.

This award is different from others because it's about much more than creative output. This award recognises culture, D&I, gender equality, business strategy, work hours, staff salaries, even financials.

The AICP Post Awards honor the best post production work of the year, and they take place across rotating locations between Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.
Awarded artists are recognised for their contribution in specific crafts within the overall categories of editorial, audio mixing, sound design, color grading, graphic design, visual effects and finishing.
This year our Director, Mike Tosetto, was invited to be a judge for the Type Design & Title Animation category.
Never Sit Still were invited to run a motion program for third year students, as part of the highly regarded Visual Communications degree at UTS.
Zoe Crocker and Melany Webster ran a six week course, based on an industry brief for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, teaching students about the importance of motion design for brand, along with conceptual skills to help them develop in this ever growing field.
